OUR FAVORITE 90S RAP SONG

Posted by Nicole Dael on

The kick start of hip-hop music started in the late 80s to early 90s. During this time, many artists rose and the music industry hit a new elevation of this genre. Although it was going through a series of changes and affected how the music itself was made, undoubtedly, a lot of rap songs remained in our minds. The hip-hop culture is continuously growing but this time, let’s throwback to one of our favorite rap songs, ‘Juicy’ by Biggie Smalls.

‘Juicy’ is one of the well-known songs from Biggie’s debut album, ‘Ready to Die’. This is our favorite because it talks about being confident about yourself and that not one can stop you from dreaming big.

“You know very well who you are, Don't let ‘em hold you down, reach for the stars,
You had a goal, but not that many 'cause you're the only one I'll give you good and plenty”

This song tells us that anyone can start small and end up reaching their dream if they pursue it. Biggie’s journey towards his popularity is well reflected in this song. Although people made this song controversial after the 9/11 incident, there’s no doubt that it still sounds dazzling as it was in the beginning.

It continues to inspire us to be one of the best sellers out there. Feel motivated and watch Juicy’s music video. The jersey that Biggie’s wearing is part of our basketball jersey collections. Get them while it’s on sale.
